Natural Hair Product Alert: Nokyem Naturals

I'm really excited to share my thoughts on a few products from a natural hair care line that I have been experimenting with lately.  The brand is Nokyem Naturals it's an all natural hair care line made for women & men, and the icing on the cake is that it's a black owned company!  I was elated when the creator of Nokyem naturals, Earashea,  sent me over some products to try out.  I must say that I've been very pleased with all of the moisture, and great benefits that her products offer my type 4 hair which tends to dry out very easily.  Here are a few words from the wonderful woman that put these products together:
"I started my company after I realized my hair wasn't responding to Shea butter and the products within the natural hair industry all contained Shea butter. I then began a quest to find other butters that had moisturizing properties similar to Shea butter. After months of late night research I finally came up with a formula of Avocado, Mango, and other butters and oils that worked with my hair. I was elated when my recipe started to make my hair happy. Many people started to notice a difference in my hair and thus I began making my products for family and close friends and from there No'Kyem was born. I wanted to make my product line of quality products at reasonable prices so that everyone could afford them. I'm a consumer so I know how high prices could affect a family's  budget. I personally feel healthy hair is a right for everyone and price should not keep anyone from the healthy, beautiful hair they deserve. I'm proud to have created a line of products I stand by for their superior quality and affordable prices.  No'Kyem is my baby and I'm so excited for the highly requested and anticipated release of our upcoming products."  -Earashea of Nokyem Naturals
Well let's get on into these products!  I was sent 2 products to review from her Shea Amaretto line: The Leave-In  Conditioning Hair SilkThe Styling Meringue.

Leave in Conditioning Hair Silk
The texture of this leave-in conditioner is nothing like I have ever seen before for a leave in.  It is very thick and I was kind of unsure how it would smooth into my coils and curl.  Little did I know that this leave in would be one of the most moisturizing leave-in's that I've tried in my 4 years of being natural.  The texture of this leave-in reminds me of a lotion,
but no worries it melts right into the hair strands, and left my hair light and bouncy.  Not to mention that this stuff quenches your hair's thirst in seconds! I cannot rave more about this stuff!

Styling Meringue

The Styling Meringue was a pleasant surprise! This styler is great in locking in the moisture that the leave-in hair silk provides, & this styler gets the curls popping.  Once again the consistency of this product is different from any other styler that I've used.  It's very thick and reminds me of a shea butter  creme.
I'm a wash & go girl, and I wasn't sure how this thick creme would benefit my wash & go, but surprisingly this lovely goodness elongated my natural curls.  This styler didn't have the best hold but paired with some Eco styler gel its perfect!

The Causal Day Basic Style

Let's be honest, it can't be glits and glam 365 days out of the year.  On those days
when I want to keep it cute, but simple, I always go for blue jeans & a tee.  This a very basic outfit that anyone can pull off... I mean anyone!  Making the style your own
is key when it wearing any type of basic fit.  Some people choose to throw on classic

The Swing Dress

The summer heat really isn't letting up in North Carolina, and for a plus size girl it can be hard to find pieces that are flatter your body type and keep you cool.  Well with this swing dress trend all of our prayers are being answered!  I picked up this fab find from Old Navy.  They had a huge selection of dresses from S-XXL in various colors and I'm in love!  I picked up a few of these dresses in various colors & they fit beautifully!  Some of the dresses depending on your shape can look extremely oversized, but that can be fixed with a belt cinched at the waist.  What styles are you wearing to stay cool? Let's chat it up!

Season of Bronze!

Summer is here and I think its safe to say that around this season many people indulge in golden or bronze hues.  Well I'm back to share with you my top 3 picks when I'm trying to achieve a golden or bronzed eye look.

Summer Essentials

Yesterday post marked the first official day of summer, but here in NC the sun has been a blazing well before that.  I thought that I would share some of the things that have made my summer essentials list on how to survive the days that will only grow warmer.

Strolling Through the City

Today I ventured out into the city limits.  A slight switch up from the usual.  I admire the raw beauty that the city has, it's beautiful to take in when you're actually paying attention.   I love the country dearly, but I have a gut feeling that leads me to believe I need to be in a city to reach my maximum potential.  Somewhere progressive, with people that share my interest.  It's difficult trying to stay motivated around people that truly don't understand how much work goes into blogging/vlogging.  Anywho, I hope you enjoy this look.  Let me know some ways that you keep yourself motivated.
